David Joseph Arias, age 34, of Chicago, Illinois passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021. David was born July 26, 1987.
David was the loving husband to Dr. Alexander Hristov, adoring son of Erendira Arias, treasured brother of Pantelis ‘Peter’ Miliotis, step-son to William Saveley, Grandson of Soila ‘Nena’ and Jose Arias, dutiful Mama to Roxxy and Tita, beloved nephew and cousin to many, and an unwavering friend to countless others.
David was a beautiful soul with an incredible presence who touched everyone he ever met. In his short life, he accomplished a multitude of skills and never stopped learning and striving for more knowledge. Even while going through chemotherapy, he started nursing school at Morton College and was always at the top of his class. David graduated from the University of Loyola with two Bachelor’s degrees in English and Criminal Justice. Aside from traditional schooling, David always loved to learn and was also self-taught in many areas like sewing and tailoring where he eventually excelled professionally.
David had a vast array of occupations, everything from professional dance, to fitness instruction, to makeup artistry to even more humbling careers such as non-profit work, instruction in special education and becoming the youngest Director of Litigation Support at Arnstein and Lehr. David was a force to be reckoned with, and accomplished anything he set his mind to. David was most proud of how he touched the lives of others, and his ability to make everyone’s day even a little bit brighter with his presence. His family will remember him for his kindness, generosity, charisma and amazing heart. His smile lit up every room he walked into. He will be truly, deeply missed by many but never forgotten.

A memorial service for the life of David will be held Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 West Cermak Road, Forest Park, Illinois 60130.
