President

Dan Brunk

Dan Brunk was a member of The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps for two years, from 1991-1992, on euphonium.  He was a member of the 1992 Drum Corps International World Champion Corps.  He was an organizing member of the memorable 2022 Cavalier Alumni Mardi Gras Parade event, and was elected to the Cavalier Alumni Association Board of Directors in 2022, currently serving as President.

Dan has over fifteen years of legal and compliance experience in both the United States and the United Kingdom.  After practicing civil litigation in New York for several years, he held legal and compliance management positions for large multinational financial services institutions in London, England.  He focused on risk management, financial services risk consulting, and regulatory compliance covering UK and EU regulations.

Upon repatriation in 2020, Dan returned to practicing law in Boston, Massachusetts, focusing on worker’s compensation under Massachusetts and Federal acts, and general business law. Prior to law, Dan was a band director in Indiana, having taught award-winning state-level marching bands and superior-rated concert bands.

Dan received his Bachelor of Music Education from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.   He also earned a Juris Doctor degree from New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts.  Dan is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts, New York, several federal courts, and the United States Supreme Court.  He is also a qualified solicitor in England and Wales.

Dan is an avid musician, wannabe carpenter/handyman, and aficionado of all things Italian.  Dan and his wife Jane reside in Salem, Massachusetts, with their two cats Luigi and Lucia.

Kevin Sender is the owner and founder of  Kake Multimedia, LLC which is a strategic consulting and digital development company providing services to clients across sectors including legal, medical, education, religious, retail, fundraising, business and franchise brokerages, not for profit associations, real estate, food and beverage, entertainment, as well as other small businesses, consultants, and service providers. Beyond system development and strategic consulting, Kake Multimedia provides social media consulting, pay per click advertisement consulting, SEO consulting, and creative content production.

Kake Multimedia also owns several sub brands within the digital media marketing place including Kake Multimedia’s record label focusing on indy releases in multiple genres, Kake Gallery which is an online retailer for artwork and music, as well as ShotsBlog, which is an online community for photography bloggers. Kake Multimedia’s record label has a distribution partnership with Paradise Global.

Prior to working in the digital media industry, Kevin spent several years in big box retail management working in the Sam Ash Music chain, including operations director and sales director positions in 3 Chicago area stores, and as part of the expansion team opening stores in Indianapolis, Atlanta, Cincinnati, and Las Vegas.

Nathan Huxtable

Nathan Huxtable (B.Mus./B.A., Northwestern University) is a PhD student in Ethnomusicology at the University of California, Riverside. A percussion performer and educator, Nathan is a proud alumnus of The Madison Scouts (2014), Green Thunder Percussion (2013-2014), Cavaliers Indoor Percussion (2015-2018), and The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps (2015-2017). He currently serves as the Cavalier Alumni Association community historian and teaches at multiple percussion programs in California’s Inland Empire.

Ed Ribar

Ed Ribar is a marketing professional, with over 15 years of experience, including spending 11 years at Procter & Gamble (P&G) where he worked in brand management for household-name brands like Old Spice and Gillette. Ed has an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from The Ohio State University. After graduation, Ed worked in business consulting, working for Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and other consulting companies, including his own consulting practice. Ed then went to graduate school at the University of Pittsburgh’s Katz Graduate School of Business, where he completed an MBA with a concentration in marketing, as well as an MS in Management of Information Systems. Ed now works as a growth marketing manager with SAE (the Society of Automotive Engineers) in Pittsburgh, PA.

“American Ed” performed with The Cavaliers color guard in 1989 and 1991. In 1991, Ed placed 4th place on soprano bugle at the DCI Individual & Ensemble competition. After his time with the Corps, Ed performed with Escapade winter guard from Dayton, OH in 1992 and 1993. Since aging out, Ed has designed the drill for bands in PA, OH, IL, TX, NM, and CA and has also been a visual judge for bands and color guards around the country.

Justin Threadgill

Justin Threadgill serves as an Associate Band Director at Tyler Legacy High School in Tyler, Texas. Justin marched with two World Class Drum Corps, first as Lead Trumpet and Soloist with The Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps in 2019, then as a member of The Cavaliers during the Covid season of 2020 and as Lead Trumpet & Barbershop Quartet member in 2021. Aside from his busy schedule as a musician and educator, Justin enjoys spending time with his fiancé exploring new areas and the outdoors. He is an avid golf fan and loves to play as well. His professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, Florida Music Educators Association, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
