Over the next month or so, I’ll be gathering information about each year of the history of The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps for the alumni association’s future repository/archive, www.splooie.info.
As we start out this May Day, I’d like to know more information about 1949. Right now, we severely lack photos, rosters/instruments, instructors/staff, articles, documents, performance dates, repertoire, and most basic information about our second year as a corps. What little I do know is documented in pp. 15-18 of Colt Foutz’s Building the Green Machine.
What information do you know about 1949? If you have files pertaining to 1949, please share them at splooie.info so they can be preserved by the corps for posterity.
