I am so sorry to have to report that one of our original Cavaliers, Lloyd Sauer, passed away Tuesday June 19th in Chicago. Lloyd, along with Ron Allen and the late Warren Alm, were the original 1948 Cavaliers who also marched with CAC888. A nicer man you’ll never meet and always a sad day when we lose a Cavalier.
It’s my understanding that there is no visitation and Lloyd will be laid to rest with a military funeral on Saturday at Abraham Lincoln cemetery in Elwood, IL. Lloyd had no remaining family of his own, but many, many brothers. – Chris Hartowicz
