I think I could say without fear of contradiction that Kurt was quite a character. He was fun loving and had sharp wit. He was however, completely Cavalier and was fiercely protective of the corps reputation and tradition. As a 20 year old New Guy he saved me more than once from polishing the bucks of some 15 year old guard kid by telling them “buzz off, he’s got stuff to do”. I regret that we lost contact over the years and was so disappointed to hear that he had passed away at much too young an age.
